Join the Center for Inquiry: Become a Friend of the Center!
If you wish to support the Center for Inquiry Community of Long Island, keep informed about its activities, and join in its programs, please become a Friend of the Center. Being a member of CFI Community of Long Island entitles you to full membership of the Center for Inquiry at all levels of membership: Transnationally (headquartered in Amherst, NY), regionally (located in Rockefeller Center, NYC) and locally on Long Island.
Benefits of Friendship include: Free entry into all CFI Community of Long Island regular events, discounts on conferences and other special events, 15% off Prometheus Books purchased through the CFI Community of Long Island, and 10% off all CSH and CSI national events wherever in the country they are held. Plus you will receive all Transnational and regional newsletters and benefits as well.
Please note: A GENERAL donation to CFI Transnational does not give the donor membership, or as we call it, "Friend of the Center" status to the donor. To become a Friend of the center, click here or sign up at any of our events. One must specifically designate the funds as intended for membership status ! Communities are specifically measured by their members, also known as "Friends of the Center." So if Long Island is to become a regional Center for Inquiry, with its own facility, we need YOU to become a "Friend of the Center." A single membership is $60/year; family membership is $80/year; for the retired, students and/or low-income there is a $20/year membership. Monies sent to CFI Transnational are used by the CFI Transnational organization for its numerous projects.
If you would like to underwrite local CFI Community of Long Island expenses, you may send donations to CFI Community of Long Island, PO Box 119, Greenlawn, NY 11740. Donations from $60 to $119 (over $20 for low-income, retired or student donors) gain all the benefits of local membership including the local newsletter (but not transnational membership) for one year; $120 to $179 for two years and over $180 for three years. All local underwriting donations will be used locally to provide local programs.
